A. The thread lift procedure targets skin sagging around the corners of the mouth, followed by restoring volume through fat grafting or injectables in areas with insufficient volume. Epiticon® threads can be used to fixate on firm tissues, such as the temporal fascia, or move tissue from sagging areas to areas with volume loss due to the multi-unit structure of the threads. A. Prior to the surgery, the clinic will provide you with explanations, consent forms, and pre-surgery instructions. After the procedure, minor bleeding or hematoma may occur within 1 to 3 days. Apply light pressure with clean gauze or tissue for about 3 minutes to stop bleeding. Avoid getting water on the surgical site, chewing hard foods, or opening the mouth widely until fully recovered. Refrain from bending your head forward for extended periods and sleep with your head elevated above the heart for at least 3 to 5 days.
